Visiting Pets

We love pets!  The benefit of pets to the residents (and staff) is well documented.

We do require the following of anyone bringing in a companion animal:

  • The companion animal must either be leashed, carried or in a cage/crate;

  • The person in charge of the animal must be able to show proof of appropriate vaccination, including rabies for dogs;

  • The animal must be in control at all times i.e. non-aggressive towards people or other animals;

  • The person in charge of the animal is also in charge of cleaning up after the animal;

  • The owner must remove the animal from the building and/or property if requested to do so by St. Pat's security or administration personnel.

When bringing an animal into any public facility, including St. Patrick's Home, particular respect must be given to residents or staff or other visitors who, for whatever reason, may not wish to have contact with your animal.
