The Home has in place strict policies regarding the confidentiality of each resident's personal health information and staff receive regular training regarding these policies;

The Home retains personal health information for a period of 20 years upon discharge of a resident, or for a period of 7 years following the death of a resident in the Home, in compliance with legislation or Ministry guidelines;

St. Patrick's Home has in place a policy which describes the method for destruction of personal health information following the completion of the prescribed amount of time for retention.
