The mission of the
Spiritual and Religious Care Department is to be a visible and active
sign of Christ’s healing love for those who live and provide care at St.
Patrick’s Home through Liturgical Ministry and through the Ministry of
Presence.
Each resident has a right to spiritual and religious care and services
for themselves and their families.
The members of the Spiritual and Religious Care Department are located
on the Ground Floor in Rooms 10, 11 and 12.
Your Spiritual and Religious Care Providers serve residents of any faith
and those of no particular faith. We will endeavour to listen, clarify
and share your pain. When asked, we will contact representatives from
your own faith group to assist in your care and comfort.
Spiritual and Religious Care Providers are frequently assisted in this
ministry by Volunteers. These individuals give countless hours of their
time and care in the following capacities: visiting residents,
palliative volunteer visiting and support to residents and families,
music ministry, cantors, readers, sacristans and clerical work. We are
very fortunate to have Grey Sisters who make a significant and
meaningful contribution to the spirit and life of St. Patrick’s Home.
