DINING PHILOSOPHY
We believe that a pleasurable dining experience is the right of every
resident. Meal times are essential components of resident care and
services and important social events of the day. We promote pleasurable
dining through appealing food, attentive, timely service, a pleasant and
comfortable environment and opportunities for socialization. Dining is to
be a shared personal experience that recognizes the individuality of each
resident. |

Meals
All meals are prepared and
provided by St. Patrick’s Home staff, under the management of Sodexho
Services. St. Patrick’s Home has one large main dining room on the first
floor and five unit dining rooms. The three week cyclic menu was developed
according to the Canada Food Guide and is posted in all dining rooms. This
menu is changed periodically to provide an interesting variety of foods.
The menu offers two choices of entrée and dessert, a soup and a salad at
each meal. The main meal is offered at supper.
Each month, special menus are
planned by a Food Service Supervisor and often involve special services throughout the day. |

Special Family
Celebrations Special family celebrations can take
place in the Home as well. We have several rooms, each of which can be
reserved (first-come, first-served) for birthday parties, etc. Catering
can be arranged for these times, at reasonable rates. Speak to the Food Services Supervisor to make
arrangements for catering, and to the Receptionist to arrange for the
room. |
