The attending physician may refer a resident to a specialist, e.g. ophthalmology, urology, rheumatology etc. We encourage family members to take the resident to outside appointments. When this is impossible, a volunteer medical escort may be available to assist. If the resident and escort travel by PARA Transpo, the resident must pay for both herself and the escort. |
