or even suspect that you might be ill

PLEASE

Stay away for the sake of the Residents.

St. Patrick’s Home has an active Infection Prevention and Control Committee that monitors all resident and staff illness.

A Pandemic Plan is in place – in the Home, in the City and in the Province.

REMEMBER

Handwashing is still Queen!

As always, if YOU become ill, the following standards are to be followed:
IF YOU HAVE HAD:	SYMPTOMS	STAY AWAY FOR:
Gastro-enteritis	Nausea Vomiting Diarrhea Abdominal cramping Fever/abnormal body temperature (< 35.5^o C or > 37.5 ^o C) or a temperature that is known to be abnormal for you.	48 hours after the last symptom ends
Respiratory type illness	Myalgia (muscle ache) Runny nose/ sneezing Sore throat/ hoarseness Nasal Congestion Chills Headache Malaise (fatigue) Anorexia Cough Fever/abnormal body temperature (< 35.5^o C or > 37.5 ^o C) or a temperature that is known to be abnormal for you.	5 days from the onset of 2 or more symptoms
