 Outbreak Status

If YOU are ill

or even suspect that you might be ill

Stay away for the sake of the Residents.

No Outbreak

Currently, St. Patrick's Home is outbreak-free.

Keep on washing your hands!

 

St. Patrick’s Home has an active Infection Prevention and Control Committee that monitors all resident and staff illness.

A Pandemic Plan is in place – in the Home, in the City and in the Province.

 

REMEMBER

Handwashing is still Queen!

 
As always, if YOU become ill, the following standards are to be followed:
IF YOU HAVE HAD: SYMPTOMS STAY AWAY FOR:

Gastro-enteritis

 

 

Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Abdominal cramping
Fever
/abnormal body temperature (< 35.5o C or > 37.5 o C) or a temperature that is known to be abnormal for you.

48 hours after the last symptom ends

Respiratory type illness

 

 

Myalgia (muscle ache)
Runny nose/ sneezing
Sore throat/ hoarseness
Nasal Congestion
Chills
Headache
Mal
aise (fatigue)
Anorexia
Cough
Fever/abnormal body temperature (< 35.5o C or > 37.5 o C) or a temperature that is known to be abnormal for you.

5 days from the onset of 2 or more symptoms
